Inheritance tax not a bad idea

Comment on "Paving the way for inheritance tax" (China Daily, Sept 14)

All people who work, and create great ideas and jobs for others deserve the wealth they amass. But the tax on income should be fair and people making a fortune should pay their "fair share" of tax to the government.

It is good for China to have discussions over inheritance tax and allow people to voice their opinions.

But it is fair to take more wealth from the super-rich and affluent classes and invest in the real economy to help create more jobs for the deprived sections of society and make China an even greater nation.
