Introduction

Shanghai bureau, one of China Daily's oldest ones set up outside its Beijing-based headquarters, now has 11 reporters and editors including a foreign expert from Canada. The expert gives young reporters guidance in writing news stories and helps polish what they have written. Since it is based in Shanghai, the bureau has organized many coverages on important events including Fortune Forum, APEC, multinational companies, the city's economic development, key municipal works, social life, culture and foreign community. Every day it sends many stories to its headquarers.
