Boy in miracle escape after seven-floor plunge

A student was saved by a sunshade after he jumped out of the window of his home on the seventh floor in Wusheng county, Sichuan province, last Wednesday.

The local primary school pupil, who suffered only minor injuries, jumped after being scolded by his father over poor exam results that morning.

His shocked father rushed to the window only to see his son caught on a sunshade on the second floor, where he stayed until he was rescued by firefighters.
