The convention and exhibition industry in Liangjiang New Area is currently booming. The Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center was completed and put into use in December 2013. It has received 50,000 Chinese and foreign visitors since its establishment. It has also successfully held conferences such as the 16th China (Chongqing) International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair.

The Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center is the biggest conference center in West China. The center has a banquet hall of 5,200 square meters and three large conference rooms measuring 1,000 square meters. In addition, the center provides universal free Wi-Fi and a simultaneous interpretation facility.

The Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center succeeded in joining the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). It has become the only conference center to join the ICCA in West China. Since October 2013, the center has held the 16th China (Chongqing) International Investment and Global Sourcing Fair and the seventh China Product, Study, and Research Cooperative Innovation Conference to provide meeting and banquet service for 50,000 guests from home and abroad.

2014 is a crucial year for the conference center’s development. At present, five big international conferences will be held in the Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center. Among them, the World Congress and Expo of Advanced Materials will open on June 6. In addition, China's top 500 Enterprises Conference, the 91st Autumn Rum and the eighth Congress of Chinese Society of Critical Care Medicine were held in Chongqing.

The Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center plans to finish the integration of upstream and downstream channels, promote multiple brands at the same time, and become a top meeting place by 2020.
