The 2015 China International Intelligent Manufacturing Technology & Equipment Expo opened on Sept 22 at Chongqing's Yuelai International Exhibition Center, showcasing the latest innovations in manufacturing technology and equipment.

The expo houses five themed exhibitions this year, including the International Oil & Gas Technology Exhibition and the International Smart Technology & Machine Tool Fair. The five areas account for an exhibition area of 80,000 square meters, according to the expo’s sponsor.

The expo is known as the first market-oriented manufacturing industry chain exhibition and covers areas of material processing, unit manufacturing, machinery manufacturing and customer service. It aims to provide enterprises a platform to communicate and cooperate.

In keeping with previous years, the expo will host a number of influential forums, such as the International Smart Manufacturing Forum, which will introduce the development situation of the domestic manufacturing industry.
