(BEIJING, May 18) -- The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) has taken stakeholders' interests into full consideration in its preparatory work for the Games, IOC Coordination Commission Chairman Hein Verbruggen commented on Thursday.

Verbruggen makes a sum-up speech at the end of commission's plenary session.

The stakeholders, including athletes and international sports federations (IFs), will benefit from the work, he said soon after the commission's sixth full meeting ended in Beijing.

BOCOG has an efficient team who works meticulously, he said during the presentation of BOCOG on its preparation for the Games, his commission founded that every aspect of the work gives full consideration to the requirements of athletes, IFs and sponsors. "We are pleased to be informed of this at a crucial stage when the preparatory work is moving towards the Games-time phase," he said.

Terming BOCOG as a team open to suggestions, Verbruggen said BOCOG cooperates closely with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and other organizations. "They are willing to listen to opinions from a variety of people, and this is rarely seen in the previous editions of the Olympic Games," the commission head added.
