Swiss jumper injured in Universiade training

YABULI -- Jan Peter of Switzerland was seriously injured in the training of the freestyle skiing men's aerials of the 24th Winter Universiade here on Monday.

Peter lost his skis up in the air and fell to the snow heavily, according to medical staff on standby who also saw blood burst out of his mouth.

Peter, who was stretchered to nearby medical center for primary check-up, will be sent to hospital soon.

The men's aerials competition was scheduled for Monday morning with a total of 14 jumpers in contention.
