Twin Bridge

Surrounded by blue water, lush trees and crossing boats, Twin Bridge fully expresses the essence of this ancient town. Along the Bridge, numerous painters and photography enthusiasts across China come to appreciate this place.

Chen Yifei, a young painter who previously worked at the Shanghai Canvas and Sculpture Workshop, and then studied in the US, went to sketch Zhouzhuang in 1984. He had to get there by boat, since the road from Kunshan to Zhouzhuang was unfinished then. He recorded Zhouzhuang only by camera instead of painting because time was limited. All his film was used up after he stayed there for a week. Then he left.
