Tale of two approaches

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, China has done an exemplary job in containing the spread of the novel coronavirus by adopting strict prevention and control measures, allowing the country to go from being the most vulnerable to the virus to one of the safest nations in the world.

However, COVID-19 cases, deaths and hospitalizations continue to increase across the United States. Despite the US boasting the world's most advanced medical systems, the number of deaths in the country due to COVID-19 has risen to more than 610,000, and the total number of infections has surpassed 35 million.

Facts have proved that the US is the largest stumbling block for the global anti-pandemic progress. Its irresponsible policies are hindering global efforts to contain the virus. And they have been disastrous for the US itself.
