The first Hello Kitty theme park outside Japan officially opened on Thursday, the first day of the year in the Anji county, Huzhou city, East China's Zhejiang province.
The park covers an area of 95,000 square meters with an investment estimated at $215 million.
There are currently two Hello Kitty theme parks in Japan and the China park is the first international one.
