Film shows love's sillier side

Veteran actor Zhu Shimao has finished his second directorial work Love Retake, a romantic comedy to be released in early February. Zhu directs a stellar young cast, including Taiwan rock icon Su Chien-hsin, who's better known as Shin; Hong Kong singer/actress Gillian Chung; and mainland stars Yu Shaoqun and Li Xiaoran. Zhu, 58, built his name with short skits in variety shows in the 1980s and '90s, and various roles in films and television dramas. In 2008, Zhu made his directorial debut with Under the Influence.
