Furong Valley, also known as the Spring Valley, is located at the north gate of Huangshan Mountain scenic area and is one of the most beautiful spots on the mountain. I’d previously heard all kinds of praises for the area’s waters, scenes and valleys.

Recently, I made a business trip to Huangshan city, staying in a hotel just a short distance from the Furong Valley. It gave me a perfect opportunity to finally see her with my own eyes.

A thunderous sound of flowing water stunned my ears upon entering the valley. Peaceful water transformed into grand waterfall as it passed through the big dam of the reservoir. When we climbed over the dam, a vast pool of emerald water surrounded by lush jade-colored bamboos appeared before our eyes. Even the best landscape painting could not have done the scene justice. I was completely intoxicated by it.
