The city of Guiyang, Guizhou province joined neighboring cities in holding a high-speed rail tour promotion, in Beijing, with the help of its tourism development office which now has almost a dozen high-speed rail routes and related tourism products, covering such local scenic spots as Huangguoshu Waterfall, a Xijiang ethnic Miao village , and Mount Fanjing.
A new high-speed railway that reaches the cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Jinan in Shandong province, Nanjing in Jiangsu province and Wuhan in Hubei province saves a lot of travel time in getting visitors to Guiyang.
Guiyang is known as one of China's Top 10 summer destinations because of its pleasant climate. It is also a modern metropolis on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau with beautiful mountains and forests.
